What Is Your Angel Name?

What Is Your Angel Name?

First find the month you were born for the first part of your name.  Then take the first initial of your first name for the second part of your name.  Put them together and that's your angel name.

 Mine is Sunbeam Diplomat ?!

Publix Shopping Totals for Week Ending 9-18-15

Publix had a lot of things on sale this week that we use a lot of so I spent more than usual.  I was getting 6 of many of the BOGOF's.  I don't usually see the Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches BOGOF, it's always the Delights, so that made me happy.  I bought nothing but food items and the total came to $156.63 and after sales and coupons my OOP was $75.73 for a savings of 52%.

I only get one Sunday paper and can't afford to "buy" coupons.  I really need to find family or neighbors or someone that doesn't use up their coupon inserts to pass them on to me, but everyone I know is pretty much in the same financial situation we are because they don't even get 1 Sunday paper.  The ideal situation would be if Redplum, Smart Source, etc. actually put the coupons IN the inserts that they have on the websites.  Websites seem to have coupons that are higher value and with 2 computers I can print out 4, BUT paper and cartridges are NOT cheap.  I use scratch paper as much as possible for printing, but I keep running out of scratch paper, lol.  The next time I need to purchase a printer, I'm going to make sure to buy one that has the cheapest possible prices on ink.

Thanks for looking.

Publix shopping for 8-19-15

This week resulted in a shopping trip that started out at $96.48 and ended with an OOP being $44.91 (with the actual food only items only costing $28.11) with $51.57 or 54% saved.

Could have done a lot better if I'd had more coupons.  99% of items bought were BOGOF!   Love, love, love it!

41Years Today

Today is day 14,965 of my married life.  I am so blessed and I truly pray that my husband feels the same.  We hope to be able to go out to dinner to celebrate next weekend.  Going out to eat is one of life's little pleasures that I miss most.

While we don't have material possessions or much money, we have something that is so precious to us that you can't put a price on it.  We have mutual respect for the type of person we have married.  We're both fiercely independent so we take a lot of pride in the fact that we've never asked anyone for anything, financial or otherwise, and we couldn't even imagine doing so.   We give each other a soft place to fall and can trust our hearts to be handled with care.  Neither of us has a big ego, so we don't try to pretend we are something that we are not.

If only I could figure out how to get him to help with housework, hmmm...........

I'm thankful that fate saw fit to put the two of us together and I can't wait to see what the next 41 years are going to bring.

My Hero, My Inspiration

I'm sitting here just thinking about the fact that in exactly one month from today I will have been married for 41 years........and YES, to the same person :-).

I originally was thinking of people that inspire me and Rick definitely holds the top spot for me in that category.  When I don't feel like I can put one foot in front of the other, I think about how he gets up daily, much much earlier than I do, and he goes to his job and he is the main breadwinner for our family and he does so without ever a complaint.

When I grumble about how much I hate cleaning and how cooking is such an exhausting chore because it comes at the end of the day when I'm just totally wiped out, and the dozen or so other things I don't like doing, I think about all the days when he doesn't particularly like getting up and going to a job that is both physically and mentally exhausting.  But he goes, even when he's not feeling too great.  I have so much
respect for the fact that he takes care of us the very best that he can and that is totally inspirational!!

Don't get me wrong.  The man is no saint, but no one can dispute the fact that he is totally committed to me, our marriage, and our little family.  Our family is his number one priority and you can't ask for more than that.  I'm definitely no angel myself, but I am the one that he wants to come home to each night.

I am truly blessed and that is inspiration multiplied by 1,000,000.00.  Everyone needs a "Rick" in their life to remind them of what life is all about!
